치아 주변 치주조직의 재생 및 기능회복에 중요한 역할을 하는 치과 임플란트에 대해 연구하고 있습니다. 주 연구 관심은 치과 임플란트 표면과 임플란트 주위염의 발생의 상호 연관이며, 임플란트 주위염의 회복에 필요한 골이식재 및 흡수성 차폐막에 대한 생물학적 기능에 미치는 인자에 대해 연구하고 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 생체 친화적이고 기능적인 골이식재와 흡수성 차폐막의 개발에 대해 계속 연구중이다.
