임상의 주 관심분야는 배뇨장애로 전립선비대증, 요실금, 과민성방광, 간질성방광염, 신경인성 배뇨장애가 포함된다. 기초연구 분야는 배뇨장애의 병인과 치료법으로 약물치료 기전연구, 과민성방광의 biomarker 탐색, 전기자극-광에너지를 이용한 배뇨장애 치료법 개발을 수행하고 있다. 삼성서울병원 의공학연구센터장으로 의료기기의 개발과 임상시험에 관여하고 있다.
