본 연구실은 건강보험심사평가원과 한국보건의료연구원에서 획득한 다수의 의료기술평가 경험을 바탕으로 의료기기기술평가와 다양한 분야에서의 정보통신기술활용 연구를 수행하고 있으며, 많은 논문을 발표하여 해당 분야의 전문가로 활동하고 있다. 임상적 유효성 평가를 통한 품목별 사용목적 명확화에 관한 연구를 통해 고도의료서비스 제공 융복합 의료기기 평가기술 개발에 기여한 바 있다. 향후 신의료기술평가제도를 고찰하는 연구를 계획하여 신의료기기의 상용화에 기여하고자 한다. 또한 임상경험을 바탕으로 근거기반간호에 대한 연구를 지속하며 근거기반간호를 저서하였다.
